Backflow Recertification Facility

Palmetto Alliance Institute is a new testing facility for backflow tester’s to renew their license. We will also be a testing station to have your test gauges verified for accuracy. You will be able to bring your test kits by or send them in to be verified for accuracy. Robert Bird will be the testing proctor, and Northwestern Supply will be the testing site for the written exam and the wet lab testing.

Class Overview

Here is your recertification process.

– Refresher course followed by the written exam and wet lab performance test.
-review of material before the written exam is administered. Proctor will go over DCVA, RP, and PVB.

-Proctor administers the exam and performance test with out a review.

Testing Fees

The testing fees are as follows:

-Refresher Course with Exam and Performance Test $225.00

Prices include the following listed above and gauge calibration.

Gauge repair services are available (additional fees may apply)

Upcoming Test Dates

Recertification classes will be held the first Thursday of every month. Class size will not exceed 4-5 tester’s at one time. If there is more than 5 tester’s, the first five will be accepted, anybody after that will be rescheduled to another date to be approved by the proctor, and you will be notified of such changes.

****Charleston Recert will be held at 5000 Coliseum Dr., North Charleston, SC 29418 (Convention Center).  Class will begin at 1:00 pm 

Schedule your test kit's annual test for accuracy

Your test gauge is required by SC DHEC to be calibrated and/or test for accuracy on an annual basis. You can bring your gauge in or if you prefer to ship it to us we can calibrate your gauge. The cost for this service is $35 per gauge.
